Are you looking for a convenient way to keep your laser measuring device accessible without fumbling for it in a bag or case? Here it is . . .the LaserReel!
I know that most of you have not seen or experienced this sort of method for carrying your laser measuring devices so I've put together a short video so that you can see a little more about how it works.
In upcoming videos I'll be showing the LaserReel, in action, out in the field! Meanwhile, I hope you'll use the "comments" feature of this blog to let me know what you think?!

I've used this gadget for the past month and love it. I have to admit that the first week I used it I did not care much for it, as it can take some "re-learning" for taking certain measurements, but as time goes on those problems disappear. I'm one of those guys who caries a tape measure and a disto along with my tablet PC (when doing FHA I even add an additional tool belt - In can be a struggle to keep my pants up some days, lol!), so the free hand really comes in handy.

Pete - You're absolutely right about the time it takes to get used to having the meter "tethered" to the reel. I'm just like you with regards to field inspections - tablet pc, Disto, and tape (or wheel) for my commercial assignments.
